TROPICAL FRUIT COCKTAIL (Caffeine Free Fruit and Herb Tea) Country of Origin: Blend of various dried fruits and herbs from Canada, USA, Thailand, Spain Cup Characteristics: A lovely blend of fruit, herbs and natural flavors. Full bodied with a full red liquor and fruit intrigue. Infusion: Tending red. Ingredients: Luxury natural dried apple pieces, Hibiscus, Rosehip, Natural flavors. Information: Herb and fruit tea in some circles is considered a new type of tea. We formulated this blend to accommodate tastes of people who wanted to experience a refreshing healthy new style drink without caffeine. What we got was a terrific ‘tea’ that is unbelievably delicious and enjoyed Hot or Cold! This tea has a very exotic flavor profile. The delicious blend of tropical fruits and berries, sweet but soft apple characters combined with the natural flavors and tartness of the various dried fruits create a summertime cooler or a wintertime summer reminder. If you are a person whole enjoys the outdoors, have a yen for traveling and trying exotic new flavors this is the tea for you. The flavor beckons you to be active - to go out and try things you haven’t done in years! or simply lounge on the deck or alongside your pool (if you are lucky enough to have one) and sip a thirst quenching full flavor memory of southern climes. For a mental journey to the South Pacific sprinkle in a pinch or two of desiccated coconut as you are brewing the tea and then garnish with a slice of lime. For a trip to the Maldives (a coral archipelago in the Indian Ocean - just north of the equator) add a touch of cardamom and garnish with a cinnamon stick. Or for that matter, for a good old ‘stay at home with the family’ holiday, make a large pitcher and add half an orange (sliced) when the liquid is hot, steep for 5 minutes, sweeten and then pour over ice in a plastic glass. What you don’t use, pour into popsicle molds creating caffeine free and deliciously healthy popsicles for the younger members of the family clan. By virtue of the fact that these blends do not contain any tea and are a special blend of fruits and herbs - they are caffeine free! An additional benefit is that these ‘teas’ contain Vitamin C. What could be better - a healthy drink that tastes GREAT! Hot tea brewing method: Place 1.5 to 2 teaspoons of Tropical Fruit Cocktail per cup (and add 1 teaspoon for the pot) into the teapot. Pour boiling water into pot and let it steep for 5-7 minutes (or longer - the longer the steeping time to more intense the flavor becomes). Pour into your cup and add sugar to taste. **do not add milk - the milk will curdle due to the ingredients in this blend. Iced tea-brewing method: Do Not Pour Hot Liquid directly into a Glass Pitcher (makes 1 quart/liter)- Put 12-15 teaspoons of Tropical Fruit Cocktail into a heat resistant pitcher. Pour 1 1/4 cups of freshly boiled water over the tea. Steep for 5-7 minutes or longer. Quarter fill a serving pitcher with cold water. Pour the tea into the pitcher straining the ingredients. Add ice and top-up with cold water. Garnish and sweeten to taste. Reviews
